USPA NEWS - In a crucial meeting held at Taj Krishna in Hyderabad, former MLC Jupudi Prabhakar Rao, along with leaders from Mala Mahanadu and various Mala Sanghas, convened with Supreme Court Advocate ADN Rao to deliberate on the ongoing SC classification case. The gathering underscored the importance of a united front in opposing the classification and strategizing the next steps in the legal battle.
SC Classification: A divisive issue

The meeting brought together key figures, including National President of Mala Mahanadu and Chairman of the Mala Sanghas JAC, G Chennaiah, along with JAC Working Chairman Gopoju Ramesh Babu and State President Manne Sridhar Rao. They discussed the implications of the Supreme Court’s recent verdict on SC classification, which has sparked widespread protests across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The leaders emphasized that the classification of Scheduled Castes would create divisions within the community, undermining the collective rights and representation that SCs have fought for over the years.
Protests across Telugu states

Since the Supreme Court delivered its verdict, there has been significant unrest across the Telugu states, with numerous protests organized by Mala Mahanadu and other community organizations. These protests have been marked by a strong call for unity among the SCs to resist any attempts at classification, which the leaders argue would weaken the community’s political and social influence. The meeting at Taj Krishna highlighted the urgency of these protests, urging all community members to actively participate and voice their opposition.
Strategizing the legal battle

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to pursue both legal and social avenues to challenge the SC classification, with the leaders vowing to continue their efforts until justice is served.

The discussion included the participation of other notable figures such as Sarvaiah Padmarao, Vinay Kumar, Mohan, and Chetan Pramod, who all expressed their resolve to maintain the integrity of the SC community and resist any divisive actions.
